Dresden Digital Equity was founded in 2024 by a group of community members who recognized a need for more internet connectivity support services in the area. Since our organization's startup, we have worked diligently to support the Town's pursuit of an infrastructure grant to expand internet access to 42% of the town that is unserved and another 40% that are underserved.

We are in the process of building a range of programs to support individuals and families in our community, including digital navigators to aid residents with how-to training & other workshops. 

Our programs will also include low-cost device are designed to meet the unique needs of each person we serve.

Free Digital Skills Training
DDE will offer basic skills training from device access/maintenance, web browsing, to cybersecurity.  We will coordinate multilingual digital training, in partnership with Human-I-T and Cisco Academy, taking our community to new heights.


Rapid-Response Tech Support

As part of our services, we will ensure access to the right resources to resolve any Tech issues that might arise.  Our technology partners have on-demand, bilingual support to resolve most problems in just one business day, keeping our residents confidently connected.

 The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), previously known as the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB), is a  program from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that provided people in need with monthly subsidies & device discounts to help them get online & stay connected to the internet. The ACP expired in May 2024.
